For the past week, a “Small Archeological Workshop” has been held at the site of Colentum, led by Vedrana Ćetković.
Vedrana brought together the users of the Šubićevac Center for Education and the Association for Promoting Inclusion Zagreb, and with the help of their valuable hands and our EVS volunteers, created a beautiful mosaic displaying the logo of the archaeological site Colentum. The mosaic technique was chosen for the workshop because Colentum was called “mosaic city” because of numerous mosaic findings on the site.
The beneficiaries of these two institutions designed a mosaic fimo mass, thus practising motor skills, in addition to socializing with young people from Europe, meeting new people and enjoying the nature and heritage of the Colentum archaeological site. The mosaic will adorn the premises of the Argonauta Association, and this workshop was created in cooperation with the Museum of the City of Šibenik, the Center for Education of Šubićevac and the Argonauta Association, and with the financial support of the Municipality of Murter-Kornati.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration with new, creative projects from our co-workers and customers!
